Easy Shrimp Creole

It's always better to have too much food than not enough, right? We had a lot of shrimp left over after the Super Bowl, so I decided to make my favorite Shrimp Creole tonight.

This is a recipe I have used since the 1960's!

Before the internet, you could write to the major food companies and get free brochures featuring their products.

I did that alot as a teen learning to cook, and over the years, the ones I tried have become some of my favorite recipes.

This is from Hunt's and features their tomato sauce. It is super easy and one of my favorites!

Shrimp Creole

1/4 cup oil 2 8-oz. cans Hunts Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion 1 tsp. salt, dash pepper
1/2 cup sliced celery 1/4 tsp. chili pepper
1/2 cup diced green pepper 1 pound cooked shrimp
1 clove garlic (optional) 4 cups cooked rice

Saute vegetables in oil. Mix in Hunt's Tomato Sauce and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes.
Add the shrimp and heat thoroughly. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Makes 4 servings.

I hope you will visit my Addoway store for great gifts, collectibles and so much more!
