Did you know there are 12 new events for
the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi? Click on the picture above to see the short
videos and links to all things Olympic!I have always loved figure skating and this year brings us Team Figure Skating for the first time. Featuring teams made up of six skaters – one male, one female, one pair and one ice dance couple. Points will be awarded for each routine and the team with the highest number of aggregate points will win gold. This will be exciting.
Another new sport I will be looking for is the Ski slopestyle – Men’s and Women’s - Skiers combine airs and tricks on a 565m course featuring rails and a variety of jumps before being scored on execution, style, difficulty, variety and progression. I'm a little disappointed that Shaun White has decided not to compete in this so he can concentrate on the half-pipe, but I understand his reasoning!
